Christen Harper 2023: Dominica
Christen Harper was photographed by Amanda Pratt in Dominica for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue along with fellow models Leyna Bloom, Yumi Nu and Olivia Ponton.
Harper was named SI Swimsuit co-Rookie of the Year in ’22 (along with Katie Austin) after co-winning Swim Search the previous year. The Southern California native decided to pursue a career in modeling at the age of 20 to help pay her way through college.
Harper is engaged to Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and starred in Women of the League, a six-episode web series featuring the wives and girlfriends of NFL stars.
She is passionate about giving back and frequently volunteers with organizations including Girls Inc., Forgotten Harvest and Farm Sanctuary, and has been mentoring young girls through self-esteem and positivity workshops at the Detroit Lions Academy in partnership with the Pure Heart Foundation.
Known for its natural beauty, the island of Dominica is located in the eastern Caribbean between Guadeloupe and Martinique. The styling for Harper’s shoot was inspired by current glam, glitz and futuristic fashion trends appearing on the runways and in the market right now. The SI Swimsuit team merged nature's earthy tones with sparkly extraterrestrial inspired hues to create a playful eclectic energy. Think astronaut suits meet metallic disco attire.
